Hello! My name is Michelle and I love spending time with children. I became a live-in nanny (Au Pair) just a few years ago. After 2 years of that, I worked as a nanny for infants, toddlers, and middle school-aged children. I am originally from Costa Rica. Throughout my time here, I have learned that U.S. families have a wide variety of parenting styles, and I pride myself on adapting to each family's unique way of doing things. Respecting your culture, values, and house rules is very important to me. In addition to my nanny experience, I currently work as a Behavior Technician part time supporting individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. I help improve communication, daily living skills, and positive behaviors using techniques such as positive reinforcement. I also have experience implementing behavior support strategies and helping children navigate challenging behaviors in a calm and supportive way. The families I have worked with would describe me as an energetic caregiver. I love playing games, doing crafts, and creating fun activities for kids, so far no child has had too much energy for me! I also have experience cooking meals, doing laundry, and light housekeeping. During 2020, I gained a lot of experience helping children with homework and remote learning. I have taken Driver's Ed and maintain a clean driving record. I am excited to meet your family and provide a safe, fun, and supportive environment for your children.
