About Larissa

Hi! My name is Larissa, and I’m a student at UC Berkeley spending my summer in the Bay Area. I’m currently on a pre law track and actively involved in my community. I work as a legal intern at Open Door Legal and serve as a Political Correspondent for the Black Pre Law Association, where I focus on communication, leadership, and advocacy. I am Ethiopian and come from a close knit, family oriented background. I was raised by a single mother, which has shaped me into someone who is dependable, nurturing, and very responsible. I’ve always naturally taken on a caring role, especially with younger kids, and I truly enjoy creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for them. I have a big heart and love working with children. I have two younger sisters, so I’m very familiar with keeping kids engaged, helping with routines, and making everyday moments fun. Whether it’s helping with homework, planning creative activities, or just being someone they feel comfortable around, I bring positive energy, patience, and attentiveness. I am also very organized and great at following directions, which allows me to adapt easily to each family’s needs and routines. I am currently learning how to cook as well, so I am more than happy to help with preparing simple meals and following any instructions you provide in the kitchen. I am currently seeking a summer opportunity where I can support a family in a meaningful way. I take my responsibilities seriously and pride myself on being communicative, reliable, and positive.
