About Maggie

Hi! I’m Maggie, and childcare has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mom has been a daycare provider in Dixon, California for more than 30 years, so I grew up in a home where caring for children was truly part of our everyday life. I was first fingerprinted to assist in her daycare when I was 12 and continued helping her until I left for college at 18. During those years, I gained hands-on experience caring for children of different ages and helping with meals, playtime, activities, routines, supervision, and all of the little things that come with keeping kids safe, happy, and engaged. I also began babysitting and nannying independently as a teenager and continued working with several families while attending college in San Diego. In addition to my traditional childcare experience, I worked as a Behavior Interventionist with ACES in San Diego, providing one-on-one support to children with autism. That experience strengthened my ability to meet children where they are, communicate patiently, follow individualized routines and support plans, respond calmly to challenging moments, and recognize that every child has different needs, strengths, and ways of communicating. Much of my professional career has continued to center around helping and supporting others, which has strengthened my communication, patience, reliability, and ability to stay calm and responsible in different situations. I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and creating an environment where they can have fun, feel comfortable, and be themselves while their parents can feel confident that they’re in good hands. Whether that means playing games, helping with homework, preparing a meal, keeping up with a bedtime routine, or simply being a dependable extra set of hands, I’m happy to help!
