About Chenel
I have several years of experience working with children in both camp and after-school settings. I worked as a Camp Counselor at Camp Bessemer in 2023 and currently work at the YMCA since 2025 as both a Camp Counselor and an After-School Care Counselor. In these roles, I supervise children, plan engaging activities, assist with homework, ensure a safe and positive environment, and build strong relationships with kids and families. I am also currently pursuing a degree in Child Development, which has strengthened my understanding of children’s growth, behavior, and development. I am patient, responsible, dependable, and passionate about providing quality care while making sure children feel safe, supported, and have fun.
