I am a Junior at Gonzaga University and am double majoring in psychology and Spanish. I have always loved working with children, I truly think they are such blessings. I love helping them learn new things, while also providing a nurturing environment. Working with children is a very meaningful and rewarding experience for me because it provides great opportunities to teach children valuable life lessons that they will carry on for many years. I love being able to form not only strong bonds with the children, but the rest of the family as well. I find it important to make a positive impact in the lives of those who I work with. I truly value good communication, integrity, and dependability when working with others. I have carefully for children that vary in age and have learned much from each different stage.

During my high school years, I gained experience as a babysitter and tutor for a family with a 1st grader and a 5th grader, providing tutoring once a week while babysitting on weekends as needed. This role allowed me to support the children mainly academically while also planning fun and engaging activities on the weekedn. When I transitioned to college amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, I became a nanny for a family with a kindergartener and a 2nd grader. In this capacity, I dove deeper into a family helper where my role included making meals and grocery shopping as well as light cleaning. Additonally helping the children navigate their schoolwork as the next school year had shifted to online learning. ​I adapted my approach to provide educational support, ensuring that their needs were met during these challenging times, while also fostering a sense of routine but alos engagement amidst during remote classes.

I have worked as a nurse for the last seven years. Prior to that, I worked with kids ranging from infants to teens for date nights and nannying. I have babysat and nannied for about a decade collectively. I have experience babysitting/part time nannying for a medically complex child which included transport to appointments. I am taking a break from my nursing career and looking to branch out and work with kids again!
