Hey! My name is Ta’Myia, but you can call me Myia. I’m a 21 year old senior majoring in psychology. I decided to pursue psychology because I would love to be a child psychologist. My main inspiration for this career path is that I want to be a child advocate for children in need. Sometimes they just need someone that will help them process their feelings. I’ve always been an academic scholar, which is the reason I stopped playing softball after high school. I wanted to be sure I could give my academics my undivided attention. I also have experience with type 1 diabetes and overseeing insulin injections. My niece was diagnosed 5 years ago so I am quite educated when it comes to type 1 diabetics.
