My name is Erica M. I am 20 years old and an elementary education major at North Greenville University. I have babysat since the eighth grade and have experience with kids ages five months to 13 years. In the past I have been a babysitter, tutor, nanny, teacher's assistant, and summer camp leader. My primary paid babysitting experience comes from the past two years when I was a nanny. I watched their four kids, ages two to 13, one or two nights a week for the parents to have a date night. I usually cooked dinner, played with the kids, fed the pets, put the kids to bed, cleaned the kitchen and other areas of the house if it needed it. I also picked up the youngest from preschool one day a week. Over the summers I did educational activities with the youngest two and I often house and dog sat while the family was out of town. Outside of school and babysitting, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, and doing outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking.

Brittany "Brii" Carter was raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to South Carolina in February 2021. She has been working with youth for over 12 years in the public school system as an after school educator. Her inspiration for being a teacher is to make a difference in children’s lives. Her most impactful teachers didn’t just teach their subject area, they taught life lessons that instilled life values. She encourages as well as provides youthwith opportunities to practice leadership skills, community building skills, organizational skills and more. When youth create it helps build organizational and leadership skills because they are the decision makers. Having youth work together as a team helps build community. She doesn’t consider her just a dance educator but a mentor to all youth. She motivates them to bring out their best by providing them with opportunities to grow in all aspects of their lives.

I am currently a senior at the University of South Carolina. I am double majoring in international business and economics with a minor in Arabic.
