During the summer of my junior year, I worked at The Grove as a camp counselor. This experience gave me the opportunity to work with children in a more structured environment and taught me how to manage groups of kids while keeping them engaged and having fun. As a camp counselor, I was responsible for supervising children, helping with activities, and making sure everyone felt included. I really enjoyed creating a positive environment where the kids could have fun while also feeling safe and supported. During my senior year of high school and the summer before starting at the University of Alabama, I also nannied for a family five days a week. I primarily worked with their 13-year-old daughter and became very close with the family. My responsibilities went beyond simply watching her. I helped her stay organized with school, keep up with assignments, manage her schedule, and stay on top of everything she needed to accomplish.
