About Sara
I am currently a freshman at the University of Alabama, and I have had a lot of experience working with children over the past four years. Throughout high school, babysitting and working with kids became something I genuinely enjoyed. These experiences have taught me how to be responsible, patient, organized, and dependable, while also helping me realize how much I enjoy building relationships with children and being someone they can trust. I began babysitting during my freshman year of high school and continued throughout all four years. I babysat for several different families, caring for children of different ages and personalities. My responsibilities included preparing meals, helping with homework, keeping children entertained, making sure they followed their routines, and ensuring they were safe and comfortable. Babysitting taught me how to be flexible because every child and family has different needs. I learned how important it is to be patient and understanding while still being responsible and setting appropriate boundaries. During the summer of my junior year, I worked at The Grove as a camp counselor. This experience gave me the opportunity to work with children in a more structured environment and taught me how to manage groups of kids while keeping them engaged and having fun. As a camp counselor, I was responsible for supervising children, helping with activities, and making sure everyone felt included. I really enjoyed creating a positive environment where the kids could have fun while also feeling safe and supported. During my senior year of high school and the summer before starting at the University of Alabama, I also nannied for a family five days a week. I primarily worked with their 13-year-old daughter and became very close with the family. My responsibilities went beyond simply watching her. I helped her stay organized with school, keep up with assignments, manage her schedule, and stay on top of everything she needed to accomplish.
