He needs assistance and supervision with eating, bathing, with simple movement tasks (getting dressed, tying shoes, brushing teeth), etc. I have some experience caring for kids with DownSyndrome, and other children with autism. After school my senior year of high school, I helped my neighbor with her art class for elementary-age kids and babysat some of them separately too.
