Hi my name is Camdyn H and I am originally from Greenville, SC however I moved to Columbia to get my BA in Early Childhood Education. Before moving here I worked at a preschool back home for 8 months. I was responsible for after school with nine three year olds. We would engage in many different crafts, read alongs, dance parties, outdoor exploration, and even on hot days in the summer we would have water days! Since living in Columbia I’ve been focused on my schooling. However, I got a job as a part time floater teacher in January of this year. The school I’m working at has children from ages 10 weeks old to 6 years old. With my position I’m responsible for going in and out of each class to help with whatever they may need. Whether it be diaper changing, painting, reading a story, imaginative play, etc. I’m always there with an open mind and positive attitude to ensure each child has a wonderful experience each and every day. I’m currently looking for a part time job in childcare that allows me to gain experience towards my future career while allowing me to still have time for classes.
