Hi! My name is Amanda, I’m 23, and I have been babysitting and nannying since 2020. I began my career in childcare at an after-school program, where I worked on-and-off from 2018 to 2024 and have over 4 consecutive years of experience with all age groups. I attended Phoenix College before transferring to NAU in 2024, and I am currently a junior majoring in Elementary Education. It is my belief that children are active citizens now, not in training. Children have an amazing creativity and imagination to them that makes working with this age group, a joy. They often teach me just as much as I teach them. I started working with kids when I was 14! I started off babysitting and tutoring neighborhood kids. As I grew older, I worked at a children's amusement park in Phoenix before moving up to Flagstaff to study early childhood and special education. I’ve worked within the FUSD for 2+ years as an after school activity coordinator and am completing my student teaching internship in a local elementary school.
