About Katherine

Hi! I’m Katherine (Kate), a college student majoring in Integrated Studies with minors in Psychology and Writing, Rhetoric & Publication. I grew up helping to care for my older brother, Shields, who had a rare genetic condition called Prader Willi syndrome, and that experience shaped both my deep sense of empathy and my ability to stay calm and creative in any situation. I’ve also worked with children in camp and community settings, and I love connecting with each kid’s unique personality—whether that means imaginative play, helping with homework, or just offering a safe and supportive presence. I’m dependable, CPR certified, and always tuned into each child’s needs and comfort. I’m currently based at the College of Charleston and would love to support your family in a way that’s attentive, flexible, and kind!

I’m also a contributor to class-based publications and interdisciplinary writing projects. , I worked as a caterer and server at a French café, where I balanced fast paced shifts with attention to detail and customer care.
