About Christine

Currently serving as a Summer Camp Counselor at American Heritage School, providing daily care and supervision for a group of five-year-olds. Experienced in working with children with a variety of needs, including severe food allergies, behavioral challenges, and different learning and developmental styles. Trained to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, closely monitor children with medical concerns, and maintain clear communication with parents and fellow staff members. My experience as a counselor at SunFun Summer Camp prepared me to supervise over 30 Pre-K through 5th grade campers while fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere. I designed and led team-building activities that encouraged creativity, cooperation, and respect among campers, and I was recognized for my strong situational awareness and proactive approach to safety and risk prevention. In addition, my role as an Aftercare Counselor strengthened my ability to mentor students, manage group dynamics, and create structured yet enjoyable activities. I developed lesson plans, supported students academically, and promoted positive behavior, all while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. My CPR and First Aid certification ensures I am prepared to respond effectively in emergency situations. Beyond my formal experience, I come from a large family with eight siblings, six of whom are younger than me, including a one-year-old. I have spent much of my life helping care for my siblings, which has given me a natural ability to connect with children of different ages, remain patient in high-energy environments, and take on responsibility with consistency and maturity.
