About Kassie

Hi! My name is Kassie, and I am 22 years old. It is nice to meet you! A bit about me: I would describe myself as easygoing, quiet, calm, mature, hardworking, resilient, kind, observant, accepting, and a good listener. Though I am more of a homebody, it is still vital to get out now and then. As a self-described nature enthusiast, I find just being outside, preferably surrounded by trees or woods, as well as going on long walks and hiking, relaxing. I also enjoy exploring antique shops, love animals of all kinds, and am an avid music listener. I am Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid certified through the American Red Cross. Currently, I am a full-time online student at NHTI, a local community college in my town, just ten minutes away from where I live. I enrolled for an associate's degree majoring in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, I plan to start as an assistant teacher and, one day, become a full-time one. So far, it has been such a great experience. Presently, as part of the degree program, the most enjoyable part is working directly with young children while volunteering at the daycare center on my college's campus. I found that I genuinely love every minute I spend with the children there; the ages range from infants to 4 years old. I only have a small glimpse into their day, but even that brings me joy. I get to witness their interactions and conversations. Each child's personality is truly unique, which comes out while playing and interacting with them. Just being there for those small moments is really the best part of working and caring for children. I thoroughly value my time with them and am looking to gain further experience and knowledge not only for my future career but also for my current college studies.
