About Megan

My friends call me the "Baby Whisperer." While it usually refers to my capacity to calm infants and young children easily, it really reflects my passion and love for children. I began babysitting when I was 15 years old for families in my neighborhood. Throughout high school and college, I was a nanny for the same family during the summers. I continued to babysit after college as I started my career in conservation. I also worked as an environmental educator for preschoolers to middle school-aged children at two different forest preserves. I moved to Bozeman, Montana in 2016 to pursue a graduate degree. While I lived there, I babysat for 6 families on a consistent basis. In 2019, I was a nanny for an 8-month-old as I transitioned from my graduate degree. Since living in Missoula, I have continued to babysit for different families. The children I have watched range from 2-month-olds to 14-year-olds, providing me with a lot of experience with children's different personalities and unique needs. My love for children extends beyond babysitting. I have participated in or planned science education events for children and young students including science summer camps, STEM workshops, family science nights, and guest lectures.
