About Christine

I’d describe my personality as funny, energetic, caring, and trustworthy. I love to laugh, stay busy, and have fun. I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids, getting to know their personalities, and finding out what makes each of them unique. I like working with kids because they're fun! Every age is different, and I love getting to watch kids learn, grow, and figure things out. I enjoy being active with them, helping with things they're interested in, and finding fun ways to learn along the way. I'm looking for a job that is with a family where we can communicate openly, trust each other, and have a good relationship. I want parents to feel comfortable with me and, just as importantly, I want their kids to be happy to see me when I show up. I started working with kids from my first job. I babysat, lifeguarded, taught swimming lessons, earned my degree in elementary education, and then spent the last 20 years working with kids and families. I'm ready for something different and thought nannying would be a fun way to get back to spending more one-on-one time with kids and use my education again. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and my three dogs, exercise, be outside, watch crime shows, read, and try new things. I have a lot of energy and usually like to be doing something, although I definitely appreciate a quiet day too! One thing you should know about me is I really listen to kids. If they're upset or having a hard time, I want to know what's going on and help them through it. I think kids need rules and boundaries, but I also think they need to know they can make mistakes, tell the truth, and come to the adults they trust without being afraid. My skills include getting along with kids of all ages, helping with big feelings, homework and school projects, making learning fun, and keeping kids active and busy. Most importantly, I'm dependable and take keeping kids safe seriously. I want them to have fun with me, but I also want parents to know their kids are in good hands when they're with me.
