About Makena

Hi! I'm Makena! I'm a caring and dependable nanny with four years of nannying experience, along with several years of experience working with children in various settings. I've cared for children from newborns through age 12. I'm a licensed social worker and a recent graduate of Western Michigan University. From WMU, I have obtained my Master of Social Work degree and a Graduate Certificate in Resiliency and Well-Being Skills. I also hold my Registered Behavior Technician certification and am CPR, First Aid, AED, and BLS certified. I have extensive experience with newborns, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. I also have experience supporting children with autism, Down syndrome, developmental delays, and a variety of behavioral and developmental needs. I'm comfortable driving to school, activities, appointments, and outings, as well as helping with laundry, light housekeeping, organizing, meals, and snacks. I'm also comfortable with pets! I'm looking for a full-time nanny position, ideally 4-5 days a week. I'd love to find a family I can build a great relationship with and would love to connect!
