Hello, I’m Khalia! I’m a dedicated childcare professional and Child Development student at WCCCD with over 10 years of experience caring for children in private homes, daycare settings, classrooms, and community programs. I am CPR and First Aid certified and take great pride in providing children with a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. My approach to childcare is centered around creating meaningful learning experiences through play. I enjoy incorporating Montessori-inspired techniques, age-appropriate educational activities, creative arts and crafts, imaginative play, books, music, and interactive games into a child’s daily routine. I make it a priority to bring fresh and engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, independence, and confidence. I’m also an active person who genuinely enjoys spending time outdoors. Parks, nature walks, outdoor games, and other age-appropriate adventures are some of my favorite ways to keep children engaged and active. Every child has their own personality, interests, strengths, and developmental needs, and I believe childcare should be tailored to the individual child. My goal is to build a trusting relationship with each child while providing parents with the confidence and peace of mind that their little one is receiving attentive, dependable, and compassionate care.
