About Taylen

Hi! I'm currently a senior at the University of Michigan majoring in Sociology with a minor in Intergroup Relations, and I'm on the Master's of Social Work track. In the future, I hope to work with children and support their mental and emotional well-being. I've worked with children in many different ways! Outside of being a big sister to my two younger sisters, I babysat throughout middle and high school for family friends and my parents' coworkers. I cared for children ranging from 2 to 11 years old. During my sophomore year of college, I worked as a summer camp counselor for children ages 10–12. While there, I earned my Heartsaver CPR certification, which is still valid today. I'm passionate about not only caring for children but also supporting their individual needs, helping them learn, and creating fun, engaging activities that help them grow.
