About NICOLE

I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents through my background in education, youth support, and social work. I have worked with students from K–8 and currently have experience teaching middle school students. In these roles, I have supported children with a wide range of learning, behavioral, emotional, and individual needs. My experience includes creating safe, welcoming, and structured environments where children feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to grow. I am patient, dependable, and comfortable adapting my communication and approach based on each child’s personality and needs. I have experience establishing routines, supporting positive behavior, helping with learning and schoolwork, supervising students, communicating with families, and responding calmly to challenging situations. My previous experience at Lighthouse Academy also involved working closely with youth who required additional behavioral and emotional support. This taught me the importance of consistency, patience, empathy, and building trust with children. My clinical social work experience has further strengthened my ability to listen, communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and understand children and families from a strengths-based perspective. I am also CPR and First Aid certified. I genuinely enjoy working with children and creating environments where they feel safe, cared for, respected, and able to be themselves. I would bring a caring, responsible, and dependable approach to any babysitting or nanny position.
