About Payton

I currently work as a Childcare Teacher’s Aide at Prince George’s Employees Child Care Center, where I have been caring for children in a structured classroom setting for nearly two years. I assist with daily routines such as meals, outdoor play, learning activities, and transitions while supporting children’s emotional, social, and behavioral development. I also observe children, use positive reinforcement and redirection, and help maintain a safe, organized, and engaging environment. In addition to my hands-on experience, I completed a three-year Child Development Program in high school, giving me a strong foundation in child development and communication. I have also completed professional childcare training in Autism Awareness, Child Care Aide Orientation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Early Childhood Program Accreditation, and a CPR certification which allows me to provide safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate care.
