Hey! My name is Ta’Myia, but you can call me Myia. I’m a 20 year old Junior majoring in psychology. I decided to pursue psychology because I would love to be a child psychologist. My main inspiration for this career path is that I want to be a child advocate for children in need. Sometimes they just need someone that will help them process their feelings. I’ve always been an academic scholar, which is the reason I stopped playing softball after high school. I wanted to be sure I could give my academics my undivided attention. I also have experience with type 1 diabetes and overseeing insulin injections. My niece was diagnosed 4 years ago so I am quite educated when it comes to type 1 diabetics.

During my free time, I mainly go to the gym or hang out with friends. I am a very outgoing person once you get to know me. I am seen as the “goofy” person in my family and I’m always finding ways to have a fun time. I have 4 very beautiful nieces back home that I’ve been helping with since I was about 9 years old. They are the light of my life and I want you to know I will protect your little ones like I protect my nieces.
On campus as of right now, I am a member of Alpha Lambda Delta NHS. I currently reign as Miss Reddick, and a member of the psychology club., Peer Tutor, MCab , Presidential Scholar
