Hi! my name is Jayleen D, I am 20 years old. I recently just moved to the Houston Texas area from my hometown of Jacksonville Florida. August of last year (2025) I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University, I am currently taking a gap year before planning to return to school to pursue my masters. Right now I’m in a stage in my life where I am exploringand learning more about myself such as my likes and dislikes and just figuring out what I want to do with my life. I have experience working as a Behavioral Technician, what that means is I basically did ABA therapy with children that had autism. So with that job I was able to get lots of experience working with children between the ages of 2-10 years old. I learned a lot about behavioral management, proper communication, and overall just a very reliable way to properly interact with children while making sure all of their needs are met. So, that includes things like feeding, keeping up with hygiene, and just finding activities that they like and enjoy. Before that, I also have experience volunteering at a children’s museum and helping with their spring break andsometimes summer camps. My position there was to assist the teacher in the classroom with the children with anything that they might need. So that looked like helping them with activities, supervising and escorting them to the restroom when needed.

I am getting ready to finish up my travel nursing job here in Columbus (Piedmont) and will have more availability. Prior to working at Piedmont, I was a Pediatric RN at UNC Chapel Hill in North Carolina. I absolutely loved caring for the sweet kiddos in the hospital. I cared for children age infant to age 18. I am PALS and BLS certified.I also spent some time floating to the NICU caring for newborns. Other than my prior job, I was a nanny throughout college for two elementary school girls.
