Hi, my name is Frances and I just finished my degree in architecture the University of Virginia this May. While I am new to Wyndy, I have been babysitting for over 7 years. When I am home from school, I regularly babysit my neighbors (ranging from 2 to 9 in age). In high school, I was a volunteer at the Botanical Gardens Summer Camps and Children’s Hospital. This gave me experience entertaining large groups of children and navigating kids outside of the home environment. I was also a nanny for a summer. My job involved picking up the children (3 and 5) from daycare, bathing them, making them a snack, and entertaining them until their parents returned from work. This job gave me an understanding of how to maintain a routine for little kids after a long day at school.
