I'm Katie, a school counseling masters student with a heart for children. In high school, I provided childcare for infants and children, including working as a summer camp counselor. In university, I've worked as a Resident Assistant with freshmen, which has taught me how to mentor and connect with teens. I have always loved working with kids. I got my Red Cross Babysitter's Certification when I was 10-years-old and could not wait to start babysitting. I am finishing up my doctorate in clinical psychology and will be starting an internship in the Fall. I'm hoping to find a summer job in the meantime! I am CPR and First Aid certified-- keeping little ones safe is always a top priority. I also am proficient in American Sign Language and love teaching baby signs to the kids I babysit. It's so exciting to watch them embrace different ways of communication! I enjoy working with kids of any ages and I have experience in watching infants through adolescents. I am very outgoing and I love helping kids learn and grow! For the last 2 years, I spent 15 hours a week at Montessori Education Center as an afterschool teacher/aide.My expertise is with children ages 2-9 years old. My 2 big sisters have kids that I babysit all the time! I am also the neighborhood babysitter. Being on a team sport for 6 years has taught me to work well with people and follow instructions. I know how important it is for moms to come home to a clean kitchen and for the kids to be fed. A happy house is a happy mom! I love helping moms whenever they need it!
