Hi, my name is Toni'ya Johnson, and I am a 23-year-old Nashville native- a true Nashvillian, which is a rarity these days with everyone migrating to Music City! I have been babysitting, looking after, and caring for children since I was about 12 years old, which was one of my first ways to make money, helping out family and church members. Over the years, I have also volunteered at daycares, summer camps, and vacation Bible school, continuing my volunteer work back in high school as well. I love doing spontaneous things and my favorite food is Shrimp Alfredo. I adore animals, especially dogs and cats (as long as they're nice, that is). In my free time, I enjoy journaling, thrifting, visiting little pop-ups and farmers markets, writing poetry, going for ice-cream, sitting by lakes, and other fun little activities. Hey! I have lived in the Memphis area my whole life and love it! I graduated in May of 2023 from the University of Memphis and this has been my first year teaching. I am an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher at a school in East Memphis. I work with kids in Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade and I love it! I worked after school care for 2 years at an elementary school called PDS. I worked with early childhood, ages 2-6 for one year and then I worked with 7-10 year olds my second year.
