Iβm a 19-year-old college student with a passion for working with children, including those with special needs. Iβm currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Development and Education, with plans to transfer to a program to become an Intervention Specialist.Β During my senior year of high school (2023β2024), I worked with the PAST Foundation, assisting with an after-school STEM program within my school district. At the same time, I served as a lunchroom aide at a local elementary school, helping to supervise and support students during mealtimes. Currently, I work as a classroom aide at Hamilton Preschool in a peer-inclusion setting, supporting both typically developing children and those with special needs. In addition to my formal roles, I also have personal childcare experience babysitting my two nephews, ages 4 months and 2 years, coaching 12u softball and even watching over pets.Β I thoroughly enjoy working with children of all ages and am dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and fun environment for every child I care for.

Hi Family! My name is Savanna and I appreciate you taking the time to learn about my skills and why I may be a good fit for you family. I moved from Ohio to Florida in 2021. It had been my dream to live by Disney for 7 years. I attribute my love for Disney to my βdreamer" mentality.I have been working with children professionally for 17 years starting at 18 years old. My parents noticed my love of caring for children and my nurturing personality and enrolled me in babysitting classes at our childrenβs hospital at 12. Learning those beginning skills, I began babysitting for neighborhood children and family friends. It was always my intention to work with children as a career, and I combined that with my love for traveling by becoming an Au Pair in Australia, and then again in Cancun, Mexico. I settled back in to the United States and decided to become a preschool teacher. One of the biggest skills I gained was my ability to lesson plan, and I take that with me even as a nanny, creating monthly themes broken down in to weekly themes. I include sensory, science, story time, art, and dramatic play. My time as a preschool teacher is something I will cherish, but I missed being in an in home setting and growing with the children on a more personal level. I love being able to travel to fun adventures with children and have a more flexible routine, so I went back to being a nanny, and have been solely since 2015. I have worked with children ages newborn to 12 years old. I have multiples experience and have worked as a night nanny for newborn twins. I also have experience transitioning children in to a new role as a big sibling. I have potty training and early literacy experience and have taken the course for βhandwriting without tearsβ I am very good at multi tasking, and have worked with up to four children on my own daily. I handle stress well, and am good at coming up with on the spot solutions. I feel I work well with parents and have a team like attitude. It takes a village to raise children, and I love being apart of that village. While I have my own ideasof gentle parenting, I always make sure to follow the parent's parenting plan to ensuring consistency and respect. I am also open to giving suggestions when asked. Montessori is a big practice of mine. I teach real life skills to my charges including decision-making, self direction, and hands on learning. I give choices and allow the children to make their own decision to give them inclusion in their daily life. My goal is to help raise confident and independent children. I thrive on schedules, but also go with the flow when things suddenly change. I feel children thrive on soft schedules to give them expectations and be prepared for each day. I have done travel and overnight care and am very comfortable with both. I am eager to tackle what ever task is given to me each day. It is my goal to make the parent's life easier so they can live free from as many worries or tasks as I can take on for them, giving them time to enjoy family. I value long term care and love to stay as long as I am needed. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my skills and experiences. I look forward to hearing from you! My best, Savanna Steward
