Hi! I’m currently a sophomore at the University of Mississippi. I’m looking for work to help pay for my tuition. I’ve been a babysitter since I was 13 and before that I volunteered as a mommy’s helper. To gain experience and because I love kids, I would go over to the family’s home while the parents were there and play with the kids.This allowed the parents to get things done around the house. While I was living overseas for six years, I babysat for countless families on weekends, after school, and during school breaks. I’ve babysat for newborns, toddlers, as well as, kids in grade school. I like being active with the kids while I babysit, not just letting them play on their electronics. I believe the key to babysitting is for the kids to feel seen and heard. I don’t think they should view the time we spend together as me doing a job but rather me genuinely wanting to spend time with them. I also highly value meeting the parents before I meet the kids.
