I have been babysitting sense i was 14 then I worked in a daycare for 2 years after high-school and have had random babysitting jobs here and there sense then. Well I have minimal sitting experience. I have lots of experience working with youth. For years I was employed by Northern Star council as a camp counselor leading programs over the summer and winter months. At these places I had the opportunity to work with children aged 5 to 12. I've also worked for the Mahtomedi and St. Paul public School district in there before and after school programs. In these places I had the opportunity to work with children from kindergarten to 5th grade. Currently I'm teaching special education students in an elementary school. I am a college student majoring in Speech Language Pathology. I grew up in a small town so I love being outside and going for walks or hikes.

I grew up watching my younger sister and her friends when they'd play outdoors. When I entered high school, my parents had friends with young children who needed a sitter, and I volunteered! At first, I didn't feel the need to get paid, but as I developed a close relationship with the family, I became their regular sitter for 3 years till I left for college. When I return home during breaks, they are among the first to know if they need me. Also, my aunt and uncle hired me as a part-time nanny for their infant during COVID-19, and I was also paid for that. I would work as a doula, making sure she was fed, changed, and cared for throughout the night so that her parents could rest well. They lived in the city, so I would leave in the evening and return back home around 6/7am.
