I am the oldest of 9 cousins and grew up caring for many of them.

I graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. After undergrad I got an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adult from Hamline. I’m from Minneapolis, but I spent about 7 years in Chicago after college. I worked at a K-8 charter school for 5 years. There I worked as a Special Education teacher and a student services coordinator. In my role as a SSC I worked with sick and injured kids and this inspired my passion to go to nursing school to work as a school nurse. Recently I’ve worked as a postpartum doula so I have a lot of experience working with infants.

I just moved back to Bloomington for a new career path at ISU after three years of working in Nashville, TN in country radio promotions! I’ve been babysitting for over a decade for a range of ages from 8 week olds-12 year olds and everyone in between.
