I have several years of childcare experience, beginning in middle school when I started babysitting for families from my church, friends, and neighbors. During my junior and senior years of high school, I worked for my church's daycare, 7 C's, as a Teacher's Assistant for one year. In this role, I helped care for classrooms of approximately 8–12 children between the ages of 2 and 4, assisting with daily activities, supervising play, supporting learning, and creating a safe, positive environment. I grew up as the eldest child so I was always watching my younger siblings and along with that I volunteered in my moms 2nd grade classroom for all four years of high school which gave me a lot of supervision experience as well as learning different ways to keep kids engaged. I did a lot of babysitting jobs on the side throughout high school because I was always a full time athlete that didn't have enough free time for a full time job.
