My name is Alexis J, most people call me Lexie. I have been working with children for about six years now. I've always loved children. I have worked at a total of two daycares for a minimum of four years. I enjoyed caring for infants and toddlers. As a daycare teacher, I would provide a space where children are able to explore and express themselves. For example, I would create name papers for them to paint or color on to exercise their fine motor skills. Not only fine motor skills, but I would also utilize gross motor skills, such as cutting and pasting phonics with picture photos out of magazines to assist with letter practice and rhyming words or pictures. Additionally, I have experience arranging and leading activities that are developmentally suitable and engaging for children. As far as assisting with academic needs, I have also learned to utilize my experiences in dealing with behavior issues. You will experience children who are more challenging than others, and that's because children have a variety of feelings they're unable to express through words. I have experience with children with consistent meltdowns, and during those times. You have to allow them a moment to be angry and to express that anger. Once the child has calmed down and they are in a calm state to communicate the way they are feeling, make sure to take the time and listen to them before you respond. As a caregiver and previous teacher, this technique has always worked for me. Children have always been my profession. I have always had a passion for working with children, and I believe that their childhood is the most crucial part of their lives.

Hi! My name is Aalaya. Iβm 18 years old and I love spending time with children. Growing up, Iβve had 5 siblings and have enjoyed every part of it. Watching my siblings interested me in babysitting because it helped me realize that I have a genuine love and passion for all kids and ages. This is what interested me in starting my babysitting journey, which I started by taking care of my cousins at just 14 years old (a newborn and 2 year old). After that, I continued to babysit for more people, this went from ages 2-12. I am happy to babysit any age! I am very respectful to all environments and believe very much in treating someone or someoneβs belongings as you would want yours. About me, I am a very energetic and playful person, so I will always be happy to play with kids! I do know how to cook, will always clean, and I do have my own transportation. Giving me the opportunity to babysit means everything to me, and I would love to grow a connection with all children from any age!
