I graduated from the University of New Haven with a major in Forensic Science. Before college started, I worked with kids of all ages for dance classes, summer camps, etc. I also have experience with disabled kids. For a year I worked as a nurse tech at Greenville Memorial Hospital especially in the ER and with behavioral health patients. Now I’m at Greenville Tech getting my second degree for Medical Lab Tech.

Hello! I want to introduce myself and if you are interested, see if we are a good fit as a team. Although I am originally from Houston, Texas, I have lived in Hartford, CT for the past 6 years. I came to the Northeast originally for college, receiving my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Education from Trinity College, but fell in love with the region (well mostly the weather) and stayed. I work to make Hartford not just the place I live, but my home. That principle of community engagement extends beyond what I do for work. Apart from my extensive work experience related to human services, I volunteer serving meals to homeless folks in my neighborhood and serve on the Mayor’s LGBTQ+ Commission for the city of Hartford. Outside of work and volunteering, I spend my time biking around the city to explore local restaurants, knitting and sewing my clothes, and caring for my cat, Fern. I live my life according to the values of respect, dignity, equity, and curiosity, and would bring those values to serve you and your family and would work quickly to learn your values. What makes me qualified for this position is not only my work experience, but my boundless passion and energy for service.

I've been caring for my 15 nieces and nephews since I was young, so I have tons of experience with kids of all ages! I often babysit for families at my church and in the Hartford area.
