Hi my name is Samantha. I have always been verypassionate about Early Childhood Development and Intervention, as well as special education and children's wellness overall. I am currently studying at Chabot College to earn my AS-T in Early Childhood Development and Certifications as a Teacher, Infant/Toddler Specialist and Early Childhood Intervention Assistant (I've already earned my Associate Teacher Certificate). I have been in love with the childcare field since my mother opened her own daycare in our home when I was 11 years old and have beenworking with kids ever since. I truly enjoy every minute of it and strive to have even close to as positive of an impact on the children I care for, and their families, as they certainly have on me. I especially enjoy working with infants and toddlers and understand how important quality and responsive caregiving is to their cognitive development at this crucial stage that it sets the foundation for the rest of their lives. I have experience working with children from 6 weeks into the early elementary years and caring for multiples in both a single family home setting and a daycare setting. I am a firm believer that every child deserves respect and I take care to never invalidate a child's emotions.
