My name is Lindsay C and I am 28 years old. From the time I was a child myself, I made it my responsibility to help and be there for children younger than I was. At the time, it brought me joy to be friends with other children who were kind, happy, and not bullies. However, as I grew up, I realized that caring for children matched my nurturing personality type and there was so much fun to be had. I had teachers and camp counselors who were amazing role models and whom I respected enough to eventually discover that caring for children was a career that I could be passionate about for the rest of my life. Professionally, I started as a babysitter, worked at the La Jolla YMCA, and worked as a respite worker throughout San Diego. In college, I majored in Child and Adolescent Development and joined a club called CASSA which was specific to my major and had many opportunities to do charity events for children with disabilities such as volunteering at a hospital, foster care facility, and participating in walks such as the Autism Walk at Angel Stadium. Once I graduated college, I started working as a preschool teacher at the Child Development Center and doing ABA as a behavioral therapist in Colorado. Since then, I have continued working, mostly with toddler through preschool ages, as a teacher, early intervention therapist, and babysitter. During my personal time, I love to read, listen to music, and take walks.
