Working with children has always been a super rewarding experience for me, which is why I am entering my third summer as a residential camp counselor, where I work with kids ages 7-17. I have a clean driving record, and am CPR and first aid certified. I love doing anything outdoors (especially in this California weather!), reading, watching movies, and playing games. I have always been described as being very responsible, patient, organized, and helpful. Hi! My name is Bailey and I am a sophomore at Cal Poly. Cal Poly was my top choice school and it still feels like a dream to get to wake up here each day. I continue to discover new amazing things about the SLO community and my love grows more and more for this beautiful city I get to call home. My hometown is Ventura/Ojai and I feel extra fortunate to be close to my family while away at college!I have experience working in a Montessori childcare with toddler and preschool aged children, as well as a summer camp with elementary school children. I love the opportunity to be creative- whether we are making art, inventing imaginative games inside, exploring backyards or parks and everything in between! There is nothing better than a child’s imagination being able to run free in my opinion. In my free time I am usually reading, hiking, doing yoga/pilates, or anything that lets me be outdoors. I have been working as a nanny for about eight years now and my goal is to complete my CDEV certification this year. In the last fiveyears I have been diving into doula work and have had the privilege of learning from some of the most amazing seasoned doulas and midwives. Outside of working with families I am an environmental science student and spend time volunteering with local conservation based organizations.
