Hi everyone! My name is Madelyn! I am currently pursuing an Associate's degree and a real estate license, with expected completion by Summer 2025. I have been working with families since 2018, starting out babysitting for extended family members and later expanding to others in our community. In 2021, I began my first nanny job with one of the loveliest families, with whom I am still in contact today! I worked with them for six months before starting my first semester at UAB. After a semester at UAB, I was set up with a wonderful family in Mountain Brook, for whom I nannied from 2022 to 2023. During this time, I also babysat between my scheduled nannying hours. Some of my responsibilities included: - Providing attentive and nurturing care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being - Organizing and engaging children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities to promote development and learning - Preparing nutritious meals and snacks, accommodating any dietary restrictions or preferences - Assisting with homework and educational projects to support academic progress - Managing daily routines, including dressing, bathing, and bedtime - Coordinating playdates and social activities to foster social skills and friendships - Regularly communicating with parents about children's progress, activities, and concerns - Maintaining a clean and organized environment, including play areas and bedrooms - Transporting children to and from school, extracurricular activities, and appointments I also have a lovely family I stay over night for when expected traveling comes up. She is around 11 years old and I’m responsible for getting her ready for school, dropping her off at school and picking her up. As well as getting her home to work on school before getting her ready for extracurriculars, taking her to said extracurricular and picking her up before getting dinner and home in time for bedtime. All while her parents get to spend their vacation worry free knowing their daughter has been taking care of while also having fun time at home! I have experience with children from newborns to 14 years old. For as a little bit about myself I enjoy reading, painting, shopping, and spending quality time with those I love. I hope to meet new families in my Birmingham community! I am also caught up on all of my vaccinations such as Covid & the TDAP.
