Hello! For starters my name is pronounced like Kayla, but most people in the Birmingham area know me as KP. I’ve lived in Birmingham for 8 years. I graduated from UAB with my Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology, and my MBA August of 2023. I have 8 people in my family. My parents live in south Alabama with my 2 youngest siblings who are 5 and 14. My other three siblings ages range from 21, 26, and 30. So we’ve seen it all. I started babysitting officially at 12 for other families. However I have had tons of experience of watching kids of all ages from my own siblings, kids at church, or word of mouth referrals. I have been CPR certified in the past, but I think it does need renewal now (I know I’m sorry). I am beyond comfortable with newborns, infants, and attending to young toddlers as well as maintaining the needed attention span for there older siblings. In Birmingham history, I worked at ABC Child development in college and then picked up kids (5th-7th grade & 8th-10th) from Homewood schools and watched them until there parents got home about 5. I am currently the general manager of Sidebar downtown. My husband recently bought the location, this was an unexpected life plan but it’s been very beneficial in making our own schedule! I am looking for some additional ways to save money for my future goals and real wedding next year (we just got legally married recently) Thanks!
