Hello! My name is Wendi M.I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Kansas City, Missouri. I am currently a senior at Alabama A&M University, where I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology.Upon graduation, I plan to remain in Huntsville, either to continue my education by obtaining a master’s degree or to begin my professional career in the criminal justice field. Huntsville has quickly become a place I hope to call home long-term, and eventually where I would like to raise a family.My passion for working with children has been shaped by a wide range of experiences. I have worked as a nanny for two families, caring for children from infancy to age 11. Additionally, I have gained valuable experience working at several daycare centers and as an internship as a 5th-grade English teacher through the Freedom Essentials summer program. This initiative focused on helping low-income students improve their reading skills and close academic gaps. Throughout my years working with children, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for fostering creativity and encouraging exploration. I enjoy leading engaging and stimulating activities such as painting, cooking, reading, and outdoor adventures.
