Just recently moved to Georgia to pursue a masters degree. I have 14 nieces and nephews so I have naturally been involved in child care 10+ years now. I love being the “funcle” and spending time with my family. I am currently enrolled at UGA and am pursuing a Master in Music degree with an emphasis in Choral Conducting and Vocal Performance. I am heavily involved in music—I taught high school choir for the last six years, I have been a piano and voice teacher since 2006, and I currently music direct at Commerce Presbyterian Church. In my spare time I love to bake and cook and go on walks with my husband and our two dogs.

I have two younger sisters and a younger brother, so I’ve grown up taking care of them, along with cousins and other extended family members. From the age of about 16 on, I did babysitting jobs on and off for multiple families, including neighbors, my mom’s boss, and family friends. When I was 20, I found a job nannying for a family of three boys, ages 3, 7, and 10 years. When I was almost 22, I started working at a daycare at the lead teacher of the infant classroom. Across all these childcare jobs, I’ve had experience with many different ages and personalities of children, as well as experience with up to eight children at a time. I like working with kids because I love knowing I'm helping them shape their personalities, build life skills, and have another adult in their life they know loves them and that they can trust.
