Hello! My name is Carlie! I’m originally from Charlotte, NC but am currently located in Birmingham, as I attend Samford University pursuing a degree in speech language pathology. I hope to become a pediatric SLP and work with kids with disabilities. I absolutely love kids of all ages and have such a passion for working with them! I have been babysitting for seven years, and I have experience with kids as young as four weeks and as old as twelve. In addition to babysitting, I’ve worked with kids in camp settings and through the children’s ministry at my church. I have spent the past 3 summer working as a summer camp counselor at Fairmont Private Schools. I led children from K-8 in activities such as art, science, technology, cooking, and sports. In addition, I have volunteered at the Therapeutic Riding Center of Huntington Beach for 2 years. Here, I help kids with disabilities regain motor function by riding horses.
