Hi! I’m Janet. I’m a Colorado native and a college student at UNC studying Human Services working toward becoming a school social worker. My favorite thing about kids is how honest and curious they are. They really remind you to slow down and see the world in a more genuine way and that’s what inspired me to go into Human Services. I want to support kids academically, emotionally, and socially.I’ve worked with kids in a bunch of different settings — tutoring students in Edgewater CO, helping run an after-school program with Denver Public Schools, serving as a teaching assistant through AmeriCorps, and spending my summers as a camp counselor with Outdoor Lab. Outside of school and childcare, I love going to the gym,studying, hanging out with friends or my pets.
