I initially graduated college in 1974 with a BA in elementary education and have since graduated with 3 more degrees.I began teaching in an elementary school in 1975.During my time at Patterson Elementary I served as a reading specialist and gifted and talented teacher. In 1982, my daughters and I moved to Fort Collins after I accepted a teaching position with Poudre School District. During my time with the district I taught at 4 elementary schools, was an elementary literacy specialist was principal at Linton Elementary, and Director of Curriculum and Instruction.I also held administrative positions in Durango and Brush. After retiring from public education, in 2013, I joined a family as their nanny.I have been fortunate to serve as a nanny with 3 other families.The children have ranged in age from newborn to age 8.Family references and personal references are available upon request.

I’m currently looking for a nanny position while continuing my education. I’m 24 years old with extensive hands-on experience and formal training in child development. I grew up in a home daycare, started working in licensed daycare centers at 16, and have since worked as a private nanny, certified nursing assistant, and most recently at a child development center on a military installation. I use a gentle, respectful caregiving approach based on Love and Logic principles, focusing on supporting children’s growth, emotional well-being, and independence. With my background in child development, I enjoy planning age-appropriate, sensory-based activities that encourage learning and creativity. I’m also CPR and First Aid certified, and happy to assist with meal prep, light housekeeping, and establishing routines that fit each family’s needs.
