Hi! My name is Michaela and I am currently asenior at UAB pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business. I have 6 years of child care experience. I love interacting with children of all ages because you get to learn about them and be apart of things they like and/or dislike to do. I also enjoy providing help to parents and giving them the opportunity to enjoy other things. I enjoy being outside, reading books and getting creative with DIY projects!

Currently in school for civil engineering (this is my second career!). I previously taught 3rd grade for 3 years, but I have had experience teaching other grade levels and ages from infants to fifth grade! I love teaching, but engineering is my passion! I love playing with kids and have a lot of experience babysitting. I nannied for all 5 years during college and babysat as well during my free time. I have ample experience in just about everything with every age up to 13! Hey! I am from Birmingham, AL. But I’m originally from Costa Rica, I was adopted when I was 11 years old. I can speak Spanish and English. I went to Homewood High School. Now, I am a freshman at UAB. I am studying nursing and I’m hoping to go into NICU or L&D.I’ve been babysitting for 10 years and I also petsit and house-sit. I babysit for small groups on Wednesday and Sundays(5-14 kids). Starting on August, I’ll be a teacher at a daycare in Homewood which I am super excited about. I’ve volunteered at Hand -in-Hand Daycare for 2 years. I also recently started a volunteering job as a Pro-health Hospice and I am really loving it. I am a volunteer at the children’s hospital. I have my CPR and First Aid certification.I am pretty laid back, I love the outdoors, traveling, drawing, and music.
