Hello! Nice to meet you :) I’m Sabrina and I’m a childcare provider and professional contemporary dancer based in Chicago, IL! I’ve been working with children since 2018 and after graduating from New York University with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Business and Media in 2024, I’ve worked as a nanny, dance educator and after school care provider around the Chicagoland area. I have experience with children ages 3 months to 12 years, but specialize in early childhood education with children 12 months through 9 years old. In Chicago, I’ve worked for BASH Kids Club, an after care provider specializing in the arts, in addition to nannying and babysitting various children around the city. I've been a full time chaperone for The Joffrey Ballet's summer dance programs during the 2022 and 2023 summer sessions where over a three month period, I lived in a dormitory setting with students ranging from 9-22, helping them navigate the program and facilitate various activities and crafts. In New York, I acted as a nanny and personal assistant for a family in Brooklyn regularly on weekday mornings. I would get her children ready for the day, take them to school and then assist with daily household tasks such as laundry and dishes, errands, organization tasks and various small projects that needed to be completed. I also worked for a variety of families on an as-needed basis in the New York City area. In my childcare work, I lead with kindness and compassion whilst enforcing safety and structure in the child’s life. I strongly believe that creative play can be best explored and experienced with simple age-appropriate structure in place. I also enjoy scheduling and organizing for families in addition to taking on various household tasks such as cleaning, laundry and errands if needed to ease day-to-day household operation for parents. I have experience with various niches of childcare including sick care, homework help, and assisting children with special needs including autism, speech delays, sensory issues and ADD/ADHD. I’m also CPR, AED and First-Aid certified. I pride myself on my adaptive nature, my tenacity for challenge, and my love of all things fun!
