Overall 5+ years experience.I consider myself bubbly and energetic and that’s what your child(ren) needs! I love playing with kids and getting down to their level, playing outside, going on walks, story time, and helping to grow developmental skills (potty training, walking, speaking). For older kids we like to play tag, hide-and-seek, video games, movie night, coloring, really whatever their interests are!I love and care for kids as if they were my own - they are the future, and they deserve to be guided into being considerate, polite, intelligent adults. If there is any sort of “discipline “ happening I take a more gentle approach. I would be delighted to help your family for either a date night, general helping hands, or long term nannying! :)

Hey there! I’m 22 years old with an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Montevallo. I am RBT (ABA therapy) and CPR/AED/First Aid certified. I have a clean driving record and no criminal background. I have 8 months experience working with children with disabilities (Autism, age 2-6, primarily boys) and 2+ years of overall babysitting experience (infant & preschool age, girls). I am comfortable working with kiddos who engage in more difficult/maladaptive behaviors and nonverbal kiddos. I do not have experience with visually or hearing impaired kiddos but am willing to learn! I know basic ASL and am fluent in PECS & AAC devices.Some fun facts about me:1. I am the second oldest of six children. I started babysitting outside of my family when I was 13 years old. I have nannied for multiple families over the years. I am also a swim instructor, softball coach, and Spanish teacher so I deal with all levels of children on a daily basis. I have a major in Spanish and have taught Spanish in multiple elementary schools and have also taught Middle School and High School. I most recently taught in a Montessori school in the Birmingham area. I babysit for quite a few different families in the Birmingham area, mostly for date night and out of town work, and they refer me to their friends. Therefore, I have an extensive contact list that can attest to my ability to care for and even teach children of many different backgrounds and needs. I have also taught in an Early Learning Center and worked in a nursery. My favorite ages are from birth to five years of age but, I love all children and would love to meet yours! I also work well with animals.
