Hey there I’m Vanessa. I’m currently attending the University of Memphis after completing my associates degree at southwest Tennessee community college. As far as kids go I love taking care of them and seeing them learn about the things around them. I hope to one day start a daycare of my own and be able to help raise the kids of my community.

Hey! I have lived in the Memphis area my whole life and love it! I graduated in May of 2023 from the University of Memphis and this has been my first year teaching. I am an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher at a school in East Memphis. I work with kids in Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade and I love it! I worked after school care for 2 years at an elementary school called PDS. I worked with early childhood, ages 2-6 for one year and then I worked with 7-10 year olds my second year. I also worked with 2-7 year olds for 3 summers at the summer day camp at PDS. I learned a lot about working with kids from others I worked with and from my own experiences while working there.

I currently hold a position as an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) with a focus in early intervention for children in the age range of 2-12 years. However, my experience working with children does not start there, I have over 10 years experience working with children. I was born and raised in KY, and have been a part of the Midsouth community for about 11 years, I am a mother of a pre-teen and a fur mom to 3 cats. I graduated from the University of Memphis, my studies comprised of Music, Education & psychology. I will be continuing my studies with the pursuit of becoming a Board Certified Music Therapist starting in August of 2023 at the University of Memphis with a field emphasis in Neuro Music Therapy. In my free time I usually play the ukulele, spend time with my family, and spend countless hours singing.
