Hi, my name is Ceara. I am 32 years old, and I have three amazing kids, a 15, 9, and 4 year old! I knew very early on that I wanted a career working with infants. I love spending time with them, making them smile/laugh, getting to watch them grow, etc. My long-term goal is to become a Newborn Care Specialist. I have already completed some schooling towards this goal and am a trained NCS; just not state certified yet. I am currently a stay-at-home mom, but I am looking for an opportunity to get myself back to where my heart truly lies....with newborns/infants!!! I have 11 years of total experience in childcare.I started working in my church nursery when I was 16, and I stayed with them for 7 years, caring for infants and toddlers, while their parents would attend service on Sunday mornings. My responsibilities included feeding them, changing diapers, escorting the toddlers to the bathroom, holding, rocking and putting them down for naps, and interacting with them through story time and play time. I also worked for one year at the YMCA caring for infants and toddlers while their parents would go exercise or partake in workout classes. Since then, I have had the pleasure of working at a couple different schools/daycares, being an infant teacher. Most recently, I worked as a Lead Infant Teacher at a Montessori school. I am a non-smoker, love animals, and have a clean driving record. I am CPR/AED and First Aid certified. I'd be happy to provide references if needed. I hope to hear from you soon!
