I'm looking for a position that allows me to establish a meaningful (ideally long-term) relationship with those in my care and use the skills that I acquired through my education and experience to support their well-being, creatively foster their skills and development, and positively impact their lives. I earned a BS in Psychology and a BA in Health and Human Services - Early Childhood at UB (2014) and Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Daemen College (2020). I practiced as a certified PA for 5+ years. I loved caring for patients, but restricted time for interaction and extensive time spent on paperwork led me to seek a career change. I decided to return to a more hands-on caregiving role. I began babysitting at age 12. Prior to becoming a PA, I was employed as a nanny for 3 children. I also have work experience as a summer school paraeducator for individuals with special needs and volunteer experience as a summer camp counselor for children with Muscular Dystrophy.My favorite aspect of working with children is teaching through play. I also enjoy working with adults who require special care because I am passionate about optimizing quality and of life. In my spare time, I like to hike, craft, cook, and read. I have a dog and 2 cats; I would probably have a zoo if it could fit in my house.
